Liberals were foaming at the mouth on Monday when Donald Trump’s former campaign manager Paul Manafort was indicted by White House Special Counsel Robert Mueller. Liberals thought this indictment meant that Trump’s impeachment would be imminent, but they just learned that they were dead wrong.
Freedom Daily reported that liberals were devastated when it was revealed that the indictment does not have anything that even remotely suggests there was any sort of collusion between the Russian government and Trump. In fact, Trump is not even mentioned in the indictment, and all of the charges stem from before Manafort joined his campaign.
Liberals are now trying to do everything in their power to divert attention away from Hillary Clinton’s actual collusion with Russia by twisting this Manafort scandal into an impeachable offense. Now, these liberals are going so far as to say that investigating Clinton’s Uranium One scandal is “a crime.”
The mainstream media has gone so far off the deep end that they are actually suggesting that Trump is committing a criminal act by even considering an investigation into shady Clinton dealings with the Russians. This week, MSNBC legal analyst Paul Butler laughably claimed that it “absolutely is” obstruction of justice for the government to investigate Hillary Clinton because….. Russia.
“Would these attempts to distract from the investigation, even attempting to unseal or remove the gag order from an FBI informant in order to further what is essentially a side investigation that they’re pursuing, is that in itself an element of obstruction?” host Joy Reid shockingly asked, showing that she believes selling off 20% of the countries uranium supply to Russia is a “side issue.”
This comes after it was revealed that the indictment against Manafort and his colleague Rick Gates includes 12 separate criminal counts: conspiracy against the United States, conspiracy to launder money, unregistered agent of a foreign principal, false and misleading Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) statements, false statements, and seven counts of failure to file reports of foreign bank and financial accounts.
The indictment states that Manafort and Gates “generated tens of millions of dollars in income as a result of their Ukraine work.”
“In order to hide Ukraine payments from United States authorities, from approximately 2006 through at least 2016, Manafort and Gates laundered the money through scores of United States and foreign corporations, partnerships and bank accounts,” it continues.
Manafort joined Trump’s campaign in March of 2016, but he left it in August of last year as questions about his financial dealings mounted.
