Speaker Paul Ryan went back to his home district in Wisconsin this weekend. That was a mistake. If you didn’t know, house lawmakers went on their recess (AKA vacation) this month after getting nothing done for the first seven months of the year.
They’ll eventually go back to work in September. Yeah. Lame. Everyone knows it. Watch what happened below.
Paul Ryan sure got an earful from an angry Republican voter.
Worker Keith Ketzler: “For eight horrible years I heard, ‘We don’t have control of the House. We don’t have control of the senate. We don’t have the presidency and when we get in we got a plan and we’re going to change stuff.” Well, I tell you what, you’re in there now and all I see is infighting. It’s very dysfunctional.”
The reason that it doesn’t feel like anything is getting done is that there is nothing getting done. It’s that simple. Our elected representatives don’t know what is coming for them next year.
