The Democratic Party has been struggling to win elections ever since President Donald Trump office.
When given the opportunity to secure two seats in Congress, they lost to Rep. Greg Gianforte (R-MT) and Rep. Karen Handel (R-GA), too.
Elections also require a significant amount of capital in the bank. But Democrats are having trouble there, too. In fact, with just $4.7 million raised in May, it was the Democratic Party's worst fundraising month in six years.
While things could change in the future, at the moment the House, Senate, and the White House are all GOP-controlled.

So how do Americans feel about leadership on a state-by-state basis? According to a new poll from Morning Consult, America prefers Republican governors:
After interviewing 195,000 registered voters, Morning Consult discovered that Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker is the most popular governor in the U.S. with a 71 percent approval rating. The No. 2 spot belongs to Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan at 68 percent, followed by Wyoming Gov. Matt Mead at 67 percent.
The other seven governors in the top 10 are also Republicans.
At the same time, Chris Christie (R-NJ) was rated the least-popular governor in the country with a 69 percent disapproval rating. No word on whether his viral beach photo has anything to do with it, though.
