With James Comey out of the way, the FBI under President Trump is finally going after Hillary Clinton.
And she may not be the only one in trouble.
Some 42 pages of highly redacted documents from the FBI’s criminal investigation into Hillary Clinton’s mishandling of highly classified materials paint a picture of a serious, but flawed investigation hindered by a lack of cooperation, according to a key watchdog group.
The materials, all part of the probe dubbed “Midyear Exam,” included several documents designated as “grand jury material,” indicating the potential seriousness of the investigation...
Grand jury material, folks. This is the kind of stuff that could literally put Hillary behind bars.
And James Comey shut it down.
Even when Comey was working the case, he and his FBI cohorts were doing a sloppy job.
For instance, they subpoenaed 13 electronic devices on which Hillary had received and written emails.
All but two were mysteriously “misplaced,” and even those that did reach the FBI had had their SIM and SD cards removed. In other words, all the sensitive data was gone.
Now, that in itself is a federal crime. It’s called obstruction of justice. And Hillary should be tried for that, if nothing else.
Tom Fitton of Judicial Watch noted that the new documents “show how badly the Obama Justice Department and FBI mishandled the Clinton email investigation.”
Well, in a few days, Congress will begin confirming a new FBI director appointed by President Trump, and you can bet one of his first orders of business will be filling in the gaps in these new documents and going after Clinton properly.
